This festival began in 1977 and since 1983 Land O Lakes Butter Company in Minnesota has supplied the butter. This three day festival has grown to become not only the largest event in the community, but it attracts visitors from surrounding counties as well. This community has become famous not only for its Flapjack Festival but for the part it played in the popular movie, Edward Scissorhands.
